Caring for the Community
Thanks to Flagler Volunteer Services, Inc. for All Your Help!
Volunteers play a significant role in every successful performance and event at the Flagler Auditorium. Each season, approximately 100 volunteers give their time and talents in a variety of ways. The Auditorium relies on volunteers to perform many roles, including organizing events, parking, ushering, greeting guests, hospitality, marketing, and various administrative tasks. There are many opportunities for volunteering at the Auditorium. All Auditorium volunteers must be dedicated to excellent customer service, committed to their assigned duties, and be flexible and dependable. Volunteers clearly have an enormous impact in helping the arts and cultural organizations function
as a viable industry.
The Spotlight Shines on Sue Doidge
Sue Doidge has been volunteering at the Flagler Auditorium since 2013. She was a registered nurse for 42 years in New Jersey and graduated from Columbia College! She is also a regular volunteer at Advent Hospital. Sue is a person who is dedicated to helping people that are facing crisis. She has
worked in hospice for 11 years. She is an active member in the “Friends with Flowers” who give their time each week to put together beautiful bouquets for local Hospice patients and the Flagler County Blanketeers who create thousands of handmade items a year for distribution to those in need. When asked why she loves volunteering at the Auditorium she replied,
“I enjoy the friendships and connections I have made and I enjoy the positive energy of coming to see a show. It’s always a good time.”
